Technical Project Manager
Speedata is modernizing analytics infrastructure with the first purpose-built ASIC processor, the Analytics Processing Unit (APU), for analytics and AI data workloads. Delivering up to 100x faster Apache Spark performance while cutting infrastructure TCO by 90%, the APU executes analytics operations directly in silicon with seamless integration and no code changes.
Role Overview
As a Technical Project Manager at Speedata, you will:
Work closely with the VP of Project Management to drive strategy and execution across the company.
Manage project lifecycles for ASIC/VLSI and software development groups, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
Support team leads and group managers with planning, tracking, and reporting on their projects.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies and align efforts across hardware, software, and operations.
Oversee risk management processes, proactively identifying and mitigating project risks.
Manage inventory and technical operations, ensuring smooth resource planning, procurement, and tracking.
Serve as a key facilitator between engineering teams, leadership, and stakeholders, translating complex technical progress into actionable updates.
Location: 3 days a week in Poleg, 1 day remote, 1 day in one of the office TLV/Haifa/Poleg (to your preference)
Responsibilities
Drive project planning, execution, and delivery across ASIC, VLSI, and SW domains.
Create and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
Facilitate regular project reviews, stand-ups, and cross-functional syncs.
Track risks, dependencies, and blockers, escalating when necessary.
Partner with engineering leads to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
Manage inventory, procurement, and technical operations relevant to hardware projects.
Generate dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track project health and communicate to management.
Support continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologie
Requirements
3–6 years of experience in project/program management, preferably in semiconductor/ASIC/VLSI startups.
Basic Linux and scripting capabilities (e.g., bash, Python, or similar).
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Asana, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional engineering teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk management.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a startup environment - hands-on, flexibility, proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Prior experience with ASIC tapeouts, silicon validation, or system software integration projects.
Familiarity with inventory management and technical operations in hardware development.
